PassivhausMaine is proud to host Maine's first PHI Accredited CPHT Course + Exam this November, organized by Colorado based Emu Systems. The coursework will be November 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th. The exam will be November 17th. More information about supplemental hands-on workshops coming soon.
Get advanced building science training as a PHI Certified Passive House Tradesperson (CPHT).
Learn about the most advanced construction standard in the world, how to implement passive principles in your projects, and everything necessary to become a Certified Passive House Tradesperson (CPHT) through the International Passivhaus Institute (PHI). Open to all tradespeople and project team members with working knowledge of construction.
The CPHT coursework is structured as follows:
The coursework lasts 4 full days. A typical schedule has us starting the day at 8 or 8:30am, a 15-minute morning break, a one-hour lunch break, a 15-minute afternoon break, and finishing the day between 4 and 5pm (depending on the pace of the group).

The CPHT Exam:
Made up of 3 sections, each taking 45 minutes: Passive House Basics, Building Envelope, and Building Systems. Each participant may chose between Building Envelope, Building Services or both. Passive House Basics is required.

REFUND POLICY: All registrations must be completed by September 1st. If registration is cancelled before the registration deadline there is a $75 processing fee. There is no refund after Registration Deadlines. Registrations are transferable to another participant.
